    MARKET REPORT February 2018

    As expected 2017 did see a strengthening in the local property market. The minor corrections in our “feeder” markets has not impacted adversely on the Noosa area property market and some local Agencies are struggling to get enough listings at the moment. 2018 should be “more of the same”, so it probably is not the best time to sit back to” see what will happen” .

    Last month on behalf of an interstate purchaser we were able to acquire a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in a Hastings Street beachfront complex for a little over $1,000,000 which reflected a nett return of a little over 5% p.a. This was an exceptional purchase of an unlisted apartment –congratulations to the buyer. Noosa Shire is certainly getting busier but it is not getting bigger – it is not spreading ,so all pressures on prices and convenient locations must build up.

    The definite upward trend in Noosa Junction does open up the chance for strong growth in that precinct , so that is an area for genuine investment consideration. Wishing all a healthy and prosperous 2018
